Making a Gift

Many thanks for supporting Deer Lodge Centre Foundation as we continue to help “make lives better” for thousands of Manitoba families.

A little known fact…

Every penny donated to our Foundation goes directly to the programs, services and capital projects of Deer Lodge Centre!

Our overhead and salary costs are defrayed by the income from an endowment fund set up early in the Foundation’s development. Very few charitable organizations are able to make that claim.

Directing Your Gift

When making a gift to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, your directions will be followed to your every specification.

Donations can be made generally, as in the case of our
Annual Appeal, where your gift will support the needs set out on an annual basis by Deer Lodge Centre. Or can be directed to any specific care area or program you choose.

Memorial and Tribute Gifts are handled with great care and respect. When the gift is received usually in the case of memorials, birthdays and anniversaries, a tastefully designed acknowledgement card is sent to the recipient (or their family) including your name and address. We will forward your charitable tax receipt shortly after.

The Starburst Celebration is our holiday appeal. For each $25 donation a star is inscribed with your message or the name of a loved one and hung from the ceiling of the Centre’s Main Street. A truly beautiful sight, the stars stretch from the front doors on Portage Avenue to the rear entrance on Lodge Street!

Planned Gifts afford donors to predetermine the amount, duration and direction of bequests to Deer Lodge Centre. Please feel free to contact us for further information on these arrangements. We would be pleased to ensure your wishes are followed to the letter.
